Check out the Loot

From Threadbear trip 1, 2007.

Over yonder, you will see several shades of Mission Falls 1824 Wool, Trekking pro natura-a 75% superwash wool 25% bamboo sock yarn by Zitron, Knit Simple, Mission Falls-Just Kidding book, Sandnes Smart Superwash booklet, and Amy Singer's No Sheep for You. PK thinks that's the author on the front, I said, uh, no.

Celeste Culpepper of Sweet Mary Jane fame totally has a sweet pattern in the No Sheep for You
book, using my favorite yarn from Hemp for Knitting.

Hemp for Knitting also has some great knit in the round patterns. The yarn softens upon washing and drying, so you get a sweater that gets better and better with each washing instead of all wonky and pilly.

The Mission Falls stuff, in theory will become hats for the pigs. The whole hat thing was brought on by the Mother's Day camping trip that we are doing again this year. It's going to rain the whole time so I figure, work with it, not against it. Plus, the yarn was 1/2 off!

You're lucky to be hanging out with knitters! I was 1/2 hour away from home going furniture shopping with my parents, and I spotted a yarn store with a big sale sign! But would a non-knitter turn around in busy traffic for such a thing? Nope. No stash enhancement for me...
But yours looks great! It's a great thing to have knitting books too. Good sale shopping!
